Issue Position

I stand for remaining fiscally responsible with addressing our state's dire infrastructure needs but aggressively target the problems we currently face. In their 2013 report, the American Society of Civil Engineers gave Indiana a D+ grade through 2010. We've seen and read reports of bridges failing over I-65, roadways that continue to deteriorate, and concerns for our pollution in our waterways.

I stand for addressing these concerns in a way that does not overly burden our citizens but aims at solving the problems affecting our infrastructure in a fiscally sound and responsible way. I do not support the wheel tax proposal nor by adding tolls to our interstate system. My plan will be to partner our state and federal governments along with private investment to minimize any tax increases.
